Color Me This

Caution: If you do not have kids you might not understand this post. You will think I am lame and delusional, feel free to stop reading now...

I bought Cooper some crayons quite awhile ago but never introduced them. Father's Day was quickly approaching and I thought a homemade card would be the perfect reason to take on Cooper's first art project. I got out the crayons and some blank paper and Cooper went to work. Without any explanation or demonstration he picked up a crayon and put it to the paper, he took turns with each crayon making the most colorful and perfect masterpiece I have ever seen! How did he know to do that? How did he know to keep the crayon on the paper and not the floor? I had my first "my child is a genius" moment. I was so proud of him. It was like he cured cancer, I was in shock.

Here is Cooper's very first picture, to you it might look like chicken scratch, but to me it looks like perfection made by a famous artist:

  1. Excuse me, but the non-parents can appreciate this too! Cooper is amazing! He has a natural talent. It's great that you give him the tools to create his little masterpieces =)
